In a new offshore contract award in Brazil, Oceânica Engenharia e Consultoria signed a Petrobras services contract worth approximately R$ 354 million.[1] Portos e Navios reported the deal on 9 October, following the company's announcement on 8 October.[1]
The agreement covers specialised diving work and tools that operate without divers, including remotely operated vehicles, across up to four service fronts.[1] It runs for four years, with operations expected to begin in the first half of 2027 and continue into 2031.[1] Those dates describe planned work, not services already under way.[1]
The award brings Oceânica's contracted backlog to approximately R$ 10.3 billion.[1] The company has almost 50 years of experience supplying subsea services to the offshore energy industry, mainly for asset integrity maintenance.[1] The new agreement extends that relationship with Petrobras through a further programme of subsea work.[1]
