In the project economics bucket, Aker BP has started production from the Alve Nord, Idun Nord and Ørn fields in the Norwegian Sea. The three developments came on stream one year ahead of the original schedule and represent about 120 million barrels of oil equivalent in recoverable resources.
Each field uses one subsea template and two wells tied to the FPSO Skarv. The combined investment framework was estimated at about NOK 17 billion when Norwegian authorities approved the plans in June 2023.
Aker BP delivered the project with OneSubsea, Subsea7, Aker Solutions, Halliburton and Saipem. About 60 percent of project deliveries came from Norwegian suppliers, while Equinor, Harbour Energy, Orlen Upstream Norway and JAPEX Norge hold interests across the three licenses.
The earlier start adds production without a new host facility and is expected to extend the useful life of infrastructure around Skarv. Aker BP estimates emissions intensity at about 4.5 kilograms of carbon dioxide per barrel of oil equivalent, reflecting the use of existing offshore capacity.
